Factory leather seats in a TJ

Were leather seats ever an option on the TJ during its production run?

Leather seats were never a factory option for the TJ.

Nope but I hear you can fit Grand Cherokee seats pretty easily into a TJ.

I think the Apex Edition had leather seats, too.

For always top-on with A/C... I would love leather seats!
But I don't do that.

I think I would enjoy cloth seats much more while going door-less and topless to stay cool and less sweaty. As you know everything is custom to personal preferences. Neither choice is right or wrong, but cloth does have its advantages in certain conditions.

It's simulated leather, not real. Apex edition had Cognac Ultra-Hide seats. RM edition had two-tone seats same as Columbia Edition, but with Jeep embroidery replacing Columbia logo.

Febreze does wonders for cloth seats. I loved my old 03' with vinyl seats.

So it was pretty much vinyl, Naugahyde, or as they now say, "Faux leather." Still looked kind of nice.

True.
Apparently, BMW did not want people to think their cars were cheap. They now call their leatherette/pleather "Sensatec"...

I've had both in various vehicles at one time or another. For me... cloth. Again, it all comes down to personal preference and I respect your preference for vinyl. Nothin' wrong with that! It's all good in the hood.

On modern vehicles I'll take fake leather over the real thing but I'd take any of them over cloth

I liked being able to spill a drink on the seats and wipe it up like it never happened. You could sweat on them after hanging out at the beach all day and no stink soaking in either.
