I am in the process of restoring my 99' Wrangler. I have the standard Wrangler rust issues and my front passenger side fender is a lost cause. The rust has left major holes through the fender and I would rather replace than repair. Does anyone have any idea where to find a cheap fender online? Or possibly have one for sale? Any input will be appreciated. Oh, also... I live in Pennsylvania where the lift/tire laws are a Jeepers worst nightmare, so I wont be able to go with the tube flares because they wont cover my tires. Thanks!
I have replaced my passanger front fender and am now in the process of replacing my left/drivers side. I purchased both of mine from a place near Chicago I found them on E-bay. $75 bucks for the fender and 40 to ship, they came primed black and a friend of mine painted them for me. I will hopefully finish the project tonight. Fender is off, and all my fix up work I did while fender is off should be dry. While I had the fenders off I sanded, scraped, primed and painted all the frame and suspension stuff you can't get to with fender on.
Well that is definitely a lot cheaper than I have been finding them, which is around 160 to 200. Do you remember the name of the company you found on eBay, so I could possibly look them up? Also, good luck with your fender project!
I had the same issue with my '97 and I replaced both fenders this past May. I bought a set of fenders from carpartswholesale.com. Here's the link for yours:
When you go to install, make sure you set aside an entire day and take your time. I'd also start hitting the bolts & stuff with PB blaster about a week before you do it. Good luck!:thumb:
Thanks for the reply, that is not a bad deal at all. The shipping is a smack in the face tho. Know of any promotion codes for the site for free shipping or a discount? If they even take promotions.
I got mine for 200 bucks(pair) at Davey's but that's like 45 minutes. Then had them painted pretty cheap and my father and I put them on one weekend. But Davey's is always a good place to check.
I have a new left front fender for a 2004 Jeep Wrangler and I'm trying to decide if I can do it myself. Never done anything like this myself so I have no clue. Any suggestions?
carparts.com had the cheapest fenders I could find. They didn't include the flares
