FINALLY bought my ARB Airlockers, happy happy joy joy!

Well, after over a year of debate (convincing myself, then convincing my wife... then changing my mind... then repeating the process) I ordered my ARB airlockers for my Jeep today.

Very excited

I got them from Quadratec, and they even gave me the now-expired deal of getting a free ARB diff cover with each airlocker purchase.

Now its on to deciding if I want to try and slowly but surely do the regear/locker install myself, take it to a local shop that doesn't necessarily specialize in locker installs, or take the 4 hour trip to a "specialist" offroad shop.

I also need to decide what compressor I'm going to run. I'd really like to rock out the new ARB dual pump one, but only if I can fit it under my hood. I'm unwilling to sacrifice any room in the vehicle as its my DD and also our camping vehicle.

Can't wait for ups to bring them so I can take them out of the box and poke at them!

Is this your daily driver? There are actually quite a few tools needed to do it properly and unless you can borrow them the cost of the tools will be expensive. Even with the distance I would take it to a shop that has experience with ARBs. If done wrong it will leak and give you nothing but pain. Not sure where you are at, but you should be able to find a shop closer than 4 hours. Start asking around.

As for the pump I have the high output CKMA12 and it works great. I can even fill my tires up with it. Going from 10 pounds to 35 pounds takes about 3.5 minutes a tire on my 31s, but in the middle of nowhere in Moab the wait is okay since it is so beautiful to look around. I could not find anywhere to fit the larger air pump so the high output fit perfectly on the plate just below the brake booster.

Oh yea and for parts, Quadratec is one of the highest priced places on the internet. I got my stuff at and the service was great and the price was considerably lower.
2000 Sahara, 3.5" Rubicon Express Lift, 1" spring spacer & 1" Body Lift, 35" BFG AT tires, Front & Rear ARB, Rancho 9000 shocks, UCF Ultra High Belly Up, Savvy gas tank skid.

I have a dana 44 in the rear, I plan on going with 4.56 gears at the same time.

I plan to go with 33s and an aev highline kit, stock suspension.

Regarding quadrarec, I agree they are expensive on some stuff, but they were the only place that would give me the free diff deal... so for this purchase at least they are the winner.

3.5 minutes doesn't sound too bad to air up a tire, I would probably be ok with that the dual compressor just looks really nice... didn't wan buyers remorse after I buy the "smaller" one.
