Yes I enjoy mine also just not real good on hills at highway speeds, it's geared with 5.13's running 33's with the 5 speed. Motor is rebuilt and healthy, complete new exhaust, all new sensors, throttle body cleaned.....etc, etc, etc, short of putting it on the dyno I'd say it's as good as it was from the factory.

Pretty good difference between the 4 banger and the 4.0 on the highway, I see that every time the club gets together for a trip. Offroad no complaints will do anything the 6 cyl will do around here.

Been thinking about this some more and I really don't think I'll be doing much freeway driving, as it will stay up in the mountains. I think I'll start putting the 4 cyl in my search and see what comes up. I was originally scared off due to the previous one I owed was an '87 4cyl that was a piece of crap. 15 service issues in the 1st year alone! Everything from starter, slave cylinder, CPU, O2 sensor, Cat converter and other stuff I can't remember.

busbreath has an awesome one but way more than I'm looking to pay. Thanks again for all the input everyone. Really helps with the search.

This sounds more like a personal attack than anything mudbug wrote. It's a good thing you are anti gun, you seem to have a short temper.

If you don't know what you are talking about, maybe wait until others respond. Instead the first response to the OPs question is telling him to run away from what could have been a great jeep for them? So they lost interest right away and didn't jump on it.

That is a really good looking clean slate. Confirm the years with the head issues though, 00-01? Even then assuming the head isn't cracked and everything else checks out, the price and doing the head swap yourself I believe is worth it.

Not sure how long you have been looking but be patient yada yada blah blah, I'm sure you already know the drill
