If money wasnt a option

If money wasn't a option and you were to build the hell out of your jeep what motor would you drop in. Like I said money isn't a option and motor being brand spanking new like LS,HEMI ect and why

I'll probably keep the straight-6 - other motors would give more power, but won't last as long, won't really help on the trail, and likely cause additional problems as the TJ wasn't designed for a high-horsepower engine. If I wanted power in an SUV, I'd get the Hellcat Grand Cherokee they are rumored to be working on

Just the little 4.0 I6 that came stock. Works well and should last forever.

Mpi small block chev. Good power, torque, cheap parts and reliability can't be beat.

small block Chevy is a bolt in part given the after market support but I'd put the Ford small block, 302, because it is much more compact... and the Chevy small block is in everything... nice to be a bit original.

Hemis and diesels are just way over priced. Even if money is no object.

A modded Cummins 4bt.

It could make huge hp with gobs of torque. It's heavy but the extra weight would be nice being I plow with my TJ. Of course with money being no object, the entire drive line would be beefed up as well to handle the torque.

Probably go with the 5.7 Hemi, beefed-up regeared drive train, etc.

If money was no object, I've always wanted to convert mine to a Brute set up. Don't know why, just do. Don't know if I would stick with the I6 or go diesel. I would basically do this set up with a snorkel becasue why not that's why. I would also Line X The entire inside and outside so I wouldn't care about scratches and not have to worry about rust. Not sure if I would do 35s or 37s. The money obviously wouldn't matter, but I'm no the tallest and wouldn't want to carry a ladder everywhere. LED lights all around with some on the bumper and window hinges. I would also put an air horn on it somewhere, again because why not?

If money wasn't an option, I would drop in two Allison 250 turboshaft helicopter engines. I know that Jay Leno has one in a motorcycle, so two should be good for a jeep. Plus, then I could brag about burning eco-diesel!

...It's like two having two 4.0L stuck together!! But WAAAY more inefficient and worse at climbing things!!! At least you would sound kick-ass driving by, as well as actually being able to go over 70 mph 0_0

Small diesel with a lot of toque that can handle a chip. Im not looking for a Jeep to do wheelies with....... just a nice ride on the road and built for the trails.

Put an old IH 392 in it. 350 lbs of torque just off idle and it stayed above 350 all the way to north of 3000 rpm. The bad news is that it weighed in a 750 lbs bare bones - so you'll need stiffer springs up front. Same engine was used in 3/4 ton pickups, school buses, and 5 ton dump trucks.

Happy Trails,
Bob

If money wasn't an option...ya would have to trade something for a motor, ask someone to give it to you, or steal it, or go without.

You probably mean "If money were no object"
