My TJ's Evolution, Not too much but I'm finally happy with it...

I came across a few pics of my TJ as I modified it over the last year. Here is a quick progression...

here is the 2 inch BB and a new set of 31's on my gambler wheels. This set up worked well for my budget but I was always wanting some more lift...

So, I decided to add a one inch body lift along with a soft top for the summer...

I liked the extra lift, but now the tires started to look too small. Also, my springs were starting to sag in the front which always annoyed me. So, a month ago I picked up an OME kit and threw on a set of 33" Mickey Thompson claws... here she is now.

I am really happy with the way the TJ looks and functions now. The wheels/tires really set it off and I am really happy with the lift.

Excellent choice with goin with the black wheels. Looks awesome im workin with my girls TJ now all white as well but we did all the hinges and headlight bezles in bed liner so lots of black trim. I like it all white after seein this! Jealous on the 33's. Hope to have a 4" lift in for summer time an some 33's as well.

I agree but now with the black wheels I think a black top would look better. Just my opinion though.

What kind of soft top is that? If you don't mind my asking, how much was it?
Jeep looks awesome BTW,I have roughly the same type of rims. I'm regretting now purchasing some with simulated beadlocks....

guys, thanks for the comments.... The lift is 2 inch OME, and 1 inch body... The soft top is basically the same as the rampage top, but it is made by a company called softtopper. I paid $400 or so for it last summer.

For the most part the softtopper is good. Its easy to take the sides/back on and off. Taking the actual top off is a little bit of a pain. But the one problem that has driven me crazy is that the top leaks right at the top of the doors, where the door seal buts up against the door surround. To fix the problem I ended up putting a piece of weather stripping in there to make a tight seal. Before I did that it was the most annoying thing ever. Every time it rained I would get a little leak that would start at the door, then the water would soak the strap that runs across the inside of the top, and the water would drip from the strap down onto me. It was like water torture!.. so all in all, it was a love/hate relationship. I love the top when I am flying down the highway with no doors, no sides, and no back (just the safari top on). But in heavy rain, I expect to get dripped on. Next summer I am going to figure out a better solution to stop the leak. I think the solution is to get the door surround tighter to the door, so I am going to make a set of brackets to move the door surround out more than it is now.

Thanks for the input.

I have been in contact with the guys at softtopper. I made first contact 2wks ago, mentioning i had soft upper doors, knowing they didn't make the soft top to work with soft uppers.

After sending an email saying how i like the top and that my only issue was that it doesn't seal well with the soft uppers, He (Larry) emailed me back the next day saying that he would look in to what it would take to design the top to work with the factory door surrounds.

Then the next day he replied to me again, saying he's come up with a design that should work with the factory door surrounds! And that he will be finalizing the pattern and after that, and he should be able to produce a batch of tops for soft doors with-in a few weeks...So i'm being patient, and hopefully by end of Dec, 1st of Jan, they'll have something for me to buy.

That sounds great! If they can fix the door problem then the top would be perfect. In terms of quality, I was very impressed with the top. It has really heavy duty sail cloth and the stitching is well done, with big zippers and thick velcro. I think you will like it if they can get the doors to work.

looks fresh. i think white jeeps may be my second fav next to black. something about the stark contrast of the paint vs the tyres and tint makes them look evil. especially with the top down and tinted windows up
