New fender time. Show me what you've got!

Hi all,

I can't keep pretending this problem doesn't exist. The time has come to tackle it.

This '05 LJ is my daily driver, for a bit longer. I'm debating a JL, or buying a subaru crosstrek, and putting the money I save into parts for my true love...

Anyway, I'm working on a build plan for taking her from DD to weekend fun. What I'd like to see is ideas for fenders, with pics and product names.

Thanks for your help...

With that much rust damage on top, I would be really concerned with the underneath rust too. From the snow I see in your avatar, I believe it is probably the road salt that has damaged your Jeep. Your flares look horrible too. I replaced all mine for about $120. Now, they are making them with UV treatment so that they don't chalk.

Id have an OCD attack w that corrosion on my fenders.

JCR Vanguard midwidths are really nice. But even the generic tube style ones can look great.

If I could vote twice for the Crostrek as a daily driver I would, I've had mine since 14 & I can tell you it is unstoppable in the winter & it allows my TJ to sit dry & salt free in the garage where it belongs on those kind of days. Save the cash & doll up your baby; you can't go wrong with the Sube! Do it, do it now

Yes, both the fenders and flares need to go. The salt has been brutal on my girl...

Thanks for that suggestion. I've headed over to their website, and I like what I see...

I really appreciate that opinion. The idea of not driving a jeep as my DD is killing me... BUT, my LJ is my one true love, and I'd hate to sink all that $$ into a JL and be too poor to do the build that I'd like, once she isn't hauling me back and forth from work.

Oh sh$! I would have cut those off already. That looks terrible.

Btw, off topic to this Jeep, I too bought myself a daily driver and keep my TJ out of the elements. Mostly snow and salt. It sounds ridiculous to most people but they're so prone to rust. And w the road chemicals the municipalities spread, there's almost no fighting chance of keeping your Jeep in one piece for long. A Subaru would be ideal where I live but I found a solid little Honda that fits my needs just fine.
