Soft top leak!!

When it rains my carpet in the rear of my jeep always seems to be damp. I have a newer soft top on and it has no tears or anything like that. I cant figure out where the water is coming in from in the rear. seems to be mainly on the left rear side.

Is the factory harness for the rear windshield wiper still in the Jeep? Could be washer fluid leaking from the hose in that harness.

Soft top leak!!

Likely the passenger door seal. Had the same issue and since I replaced the seal, its been dry.

Unless you dont have door surrounds, a new top should not leak.

I have door surrounds, and I really think it's coming in from the rear not the side. the seat isnt wet neither is the floor up there. It's only wet in the way back behind the rear seats

It is at the extreme edge or toward the center. The top that was on my TJ when I bought it in 2014 had a leak dead center of the seam at the front edge of the last top panel. I replaced the top as it was a budget brand. Actually by the time I decided to replace it and was about to order the new top, there were three leaks and on the highway, the wind pressure would pull open the zipper on the drivers side of the rear window.

That top was only a few years old as well (meeting the PO of your Jeep at Scouts gets you all kinds of info). The Bestop RAT that I replaced that top with and then took off last summer after 4 years never leaked and was still tight. That top was taken off to paint the Jeep and since the frame (original equipment) it was not put back on. I went with a Trektop instead.

On my old top, I was getting a drip back there too. It was the seam that was over the rear bow. The top was old and dried out. After staying outside in the weather for a while after I bought it, I think the thread in the stitching finally swelled up and the leaks stopped. Moot point now anyway. I got a new top.

Its mainly just on the left side and somewhat into the middle of the "truck" i cant see any water leaking in anywhere. I think it could be from the tailgate but i dont know

Have someone shine a bright light around the outside while you sit inside in a dark garage and you will probably see it.

I don't think their is a hole or tear anywhere, the top is pretty new. I think i either dont have it on right oe their might be a tailgate bar issue. I dont know tho

Is the tailgate bar installed correctly?
I put mine in backwards once in the dark and yes I had water in the back after rain.
