And I took my back seat out and built a box back there. Hold my subwoofer box and a tote that I keep just about everything I can think of in there. Enough room left over to keep my back pack in it so I don't have to worry about it being stolen whenever I stop somewhere on the way to/from school

We normally carry full sets of tools, fluids, spare axles, spill kits, some hardware, u-joints, rachet straps, various tape, some electrical, rtv, jb weld, extra fuel, water, sleeping bags, food, tent (sometimes) tree straps, tow straps, snatch blocks, shackles, tire plug kit, jumper cables, tarp, plus stuff I'm not thinking of right now.

Never have. Never could. My arm rests perfectly on the lid and never needs to leave it to shift. I find it to be far more comfortable than the factory console.

There's a sub buried in there as well.

Anodized aluminum tool box replacing the rear seat:

Rokman drop-down aluminum tailgate (holds a ton ):

Hitch mounted "Ultra Tow" aluminum rack conflicted with oversized spare tire so mounted inside to sport bar (for soft stuff like sleeping bags, coats, moccasins, etc. that I would not mind getting "conked in the head with":

For everything else camp including the kitchen sink ... Bantam trailer:

A rack built by a local Jeeper that hangs off the spare. I added some to it, and Kwik Fist clamps to hold a shovel and axe.

Made a tub mount for the rack when the rear seat is out...which is most of the time.

Last year a buddy gave me his tonneau cover from his old TJ he traded. Loved how it kept dust and crud off my gear in the back, but can't use the tub rail rack mount. So, I got a Bestop storage rack. I still have the spare tire rack if I need more space for those "campin on the trail" runs.

I'm thinking about getting a duster to slap on mine. I like my set up's functionality and security, but I hate the way it looks.

That box fits perfectly back there, Is it mounted to the tub? I'm almost to the point where I don't need the back seat any longer, so I just may do the same thing that you have. BTW I work in Yorktown, so Howdy Neighbor!!

I thought about a duster but didn't want the solid back. I went with a mesh one and it keeps about 80 of the dust and air wind out of the cabin.

Took the back seat out along with the belts. Everything camping related aside from water, fuel, and coolers go inside.

Was up in Gloucester just today as a matter of fact. I'm retired Coastie and found this place while stationed at the Training Center. Check out MPJAI.com for a great local Jeep Club.

I used a piece of flat stock steel to reinforce the bottom of the box and used the original seat bolts to hold it down. Hasn't shifted yet despite many hours hanging off rocks at 30 degrees

Just me and the wife and a dog, kids are gone. So I took out the back seat and made this cargo platform. Storage for items under the deck and installed a small cargo box up top.

Invested in a Gobi Ranger Rack. Pricey but has been well worth the investment so far!

I will soon be setting out on a cross country journey and taking all my belongings with me. I'm pulling out the back seat and Insta-trunk and installing a Tuffy Security Deck. I bought a a cargo rack with a waterproof bag that goes inside it. I also got the Bestop spare tire cargo bag and some Smittybilt GEAR seat covers. Hopefully that will do it. I thought about getting a trailer but didn't want to have to drag it all over.

I really like this one alot.
It's also mainly me, my wife, and our small dog now. not sure I'm ready to pull out the back seat, but maybe soon.

I can see also putting a hinge on the back 1/3 or 1/4 of the top just to give a little more access.

not sure if it would be considered a storage mod or not but haven't a few folks here built tops for their cargo areas? That's one i'm interested in seeing more about.
