Hello everyone. New member to the forum here. The Jeep I have now I have owned since 80K. Today it flashed the cel and then settled in on a solid cel. I bought a Innova 5210 code reader and am getting the P0300. It has 105K miles and is generally in pretty good shape and not terribly abused. Runs fine and all gauges are working. New oxygen sensors at about 81K. New battery recently and does not seem to have a loss of power or sputtering. New cam and crank sensors about 3 months ago. I cleared the code and after a short drive nothing has come back. I’m considering a spark plug change this weekend as I have no idea when the plugs were changed last. What would be a good spark plug to replace with and does this seem like a reasonable start to the random misfire problem? I’m not a super mechanic but can work on most basic things. I’m open to other ideas for the code and general things to look for. Thanks Mike

No mention of what year on your TJ, but...
Cam sensor should probably be MOPAR for best results.
Check spark plug boots (and wires, if your TJ is older) for cracks or damage.

I tried a new cam sensor when I replaced the OPDA on my 05 (the sensor that came with the new OPDA). It ran OK for a few weeks to a month, then started getting codes. I put the old original MOPAR sensor in and have been running code-free since.
