Installed a set of the Kicker dash replacement speakers........took off the covers to find out the former owner had created a mess of wiring when he installed another set of off brand replacements. So much for the "plug and play." Some quick splices and whala......great sounding front speakers. Well worth it. Like them so much I am going to get the replacement speakers for the sound bar as well.

Got frustated at the Bestop Safari top and windshield header. Can't get them dang plastic strip to stay in the header........grrrrrr, why can't they just make one where the safari top screws into the header like a normal soft top set up.......

I was fortunate that when I replaced my speakers with the Kicker units, they were plug and play,.. no issues, too just a few minutes and what an improvement in sound.. but that wasnt a surprise since my stuff was stock when I bought it and the jeep was 8 yrs old..

What size and kind of tires are those? They look great. Are the rims just stock that have been painted?

I found a little puddle of water on my driver side floorboard.... I have my hardtop and doors on. Haven't investigated yet but will find the source tomorrow.

The tires are 33x12.5x15, they are Goodyear mt/r with Kevlar, and the rims are my stock rims that I power coated awhile back

If that is the problem, remove the cowl and clean it out.

Plasti-Dipped my canyons last night.. Haven't had a chance to upload pictures afterwards because I almost collapsed in the garage from lack of eating when dipping the wheels.

For what it is, I think they good look with my krylon fusion painted flares.

Look to the left of the engine on the firewall inside the hood. You will see a flat rubber tube about an inch wide. This is the drain for the vent cowl. Just rod it out with a long screwdriver or welding rod. It is probably blocked with mud or leaves.

I am plasti dipping some interior pieces today. The strip above the glove box had some weird scratches made by the previous owner,so taped it all off and hit it with some black plasti dip. I also sprayed my grab handle,it unbolts from the dash so it was a lot easier to do. Hope to post some pics later when everything dries.

Replaced a leaking radiator today. When I was done my wife asked me with a bit of sarcasm what is left on my Jeep to replace.

Any suggestions on how to answer that question.

Replaced a couple of wheel studs, then me & the pups did a little light wheeling in the game lands (mostly just a dirt road drive, really; only about 15 minutes of what I thought of as a real trail ride).

The obligatory poser pose:
