1990 Wrangler

Hello, just bought this YJ for a rebuilt project. never owned a jeep before. so will probably have a lot of questions. right now just doing all unhood replacing. what confuses me is when ordering parts online usually the website, when asking for year, defaults to 85-95'. my first question is - having the 2.5 4cyl. i would like to add a throttle body spacer and cold air box. can anybody give me recommendations.

Why do you want a throttle body spacer? The only thing they do is whistle they offer no performance increase, do a search and that's what will come up

Welcome. A good 1st question might be, how do YOU want to use your Jeep?T he air in take for the 2.5 is not going to due too much for you, except cost you cash, the throttle body might help a bit. If you want to some true performance gains(keeping in mind you have a 4cly) then a gear swap is the best way to go. You can add all the fancy geewiz stuff and usually be less on a gear swap in the end. One note you have a dana 35 rear end.. putting money into is not always recommended as it a weaker axle. Lots of folks swap in a ford 8.8 out of 95 or newer ford explorer. Lot of stuff to think about..
