1992 Wrangler - Warnings?? Caveats? What to look for?

New guy here. Closing in on buying a '92 Wrangler from a co-worker, soon as I can pry the title out of his hands.
6 cyl, 5 speed, 123k miles, newish shocks, new clutch, one rust hole...
What should I do on my test drive to look for "red flags" about this car?

Any advice is appreciated!

Check to make sure the front axle will engage.
They have the vacum disconect and more than a few have gone bad.
Easy to fix but may help your price some.
Also check the front hubs and axle joints for play. If they are the factory ones they will be worn out more than likely.

A little rust hole can turn into a big one pretty quickly. That is something you want to fix pretty quickly. Pinion seals are prone to fail too. Just crawl around underneath and look for anything that leaks and go from there.

MAKE SURE IF CARPET PULL IT BACK AT FLOOR BOARDS!!!I didnt and found out the carpet was all that the floor was made of...due to old worn out rubber seal at bottom of window frame (the boot where windshield folds down) this allows water to drip down behind dash and sits on floor metal under carpet and you never know until its gone...this will definately drop price down or if too bad maybe pass on the jeep if you dont want to do any welding. my was on a 95 jeep and the boot was shot,so a 92?...........most likly shot, and rust. Rust loves to hide inbetween soft fender flares and tub metal also. But a jeep is the BEST platform in which to build a bad azz mo-fo no matter what condition. just depends on how much love your willing to give it.
mine: 95' YJ-4"lift (Skyjacker) 2" body lift. chevy 350/th400/np241 swap. herculined interior, boat drain plugs for floor. TJ hood. 33" MTR. Up next: bigger axles.
