1994 2.5l

Been looking into this jeep

1994 LIFTED JEEP

At 157,000 miles, it has the stock axles under it. I wont be doing hardcore off roading in it, maybe just play in the mud every now and then. Mainly I just want it to last me till i leave for boot camp in April.

Now i went and test drove it yesterday and all seems fine, but the transmission sounds like it has a whining sound coming from it. But it does shift threw all 5 gears just fine.

Also im new to jeeps, so it it normal for the suspension to be extremely stiff? I felt EVERY single bump in the road.

Thanks guys!

The stiff ride is due to the kind of lift that is on it, each one rides different. The wine could be comming from the transfer case or even the rearend....I'm betting rearend considering its lifted.

Not sure what lift he has on it, ill have to call back and ask.

So the whine could turn out to be expensive, guess i wont be going with that jeep

Maybe, maybe not....I'd take to a mechanic and have him listen to it before you decide

Bout normal for the age....most have been replaced by now. There are some that claim 250K on their 2.5, but I've never seen any real proof on that.

Jeeps in your area are gonna be pretty high since rust isn't much of an issue where you are compared to alot of us on here.
