1994 YJ TPS question

Hi all,
I have a 94 4.0 m/t that requires the
the throttle pedal to be depressed to start-
so I thought the tps was out of adjustment-

I tried to loosen the screws and adjust it-
no go- pulled it off and there are no slots,
just round holes.

Is 1994 non adjustable??

I would assume that it can be adjusted. Are you receiving a TPS check engine code? Sometimes the nodes can get corroded. I just replaced mine a couple weeks ago. If the TPS is working properly I believe you should get close to 5 volts if you test it. Some others may have to chime in on being able to actually adjust the throttle wire itself.

No codes- but I have had other vehicles that
didn't throw the TPS code- OBD1 seems like it
doesn't catch much.

Weird part is - I pulled the TPS off,
cleaned it and put it back- and it
runs better!!!
