2.5" lift with 1" shackle?

The skinny is a 95 yj stock auto trans bout to go up some. I run 31-10-50s Maxxis Mudders , I want to go up around 3"s without having to put sye or longer brake lines. If I can get away with minimal extras { Pudn} won't go spending all my money at Wally World! The big Q is will a 3" make the tires look too small or still cool? Hopin 4 some hits thanx

I'd skip the 1" shackle or just go with a half inch. I drove on a big shackle lift for two years and it sucked. Bad bounce and bump steer. You could do body lift instead. I think the 2.5" lift alone should clear 31s fine.

You guys are awsome man! I've been checking in every day waiting. I'm drivin Pudn nuts about this lift now comes pullin the cash from the bank "fast" before she figures out yall helped me. Now is the time for a Brand, any suggestions on a reasonably priced, quality lift? So far I've seen $449 as the base for RC and a few others. Again thanx guys and you're rides look good and I'm ready to join the 2 and a half inch club! Wait that don't sound right, oh well you know what I mean.

That's the exact lift I did. I like it and their customer support is great. Made plenty of phone calls for questions and guidance. Even wknds! Some guys throw rocks at RC, but their stuff works for me. Sturdy, well pckgd, good directions.

I'm in the same boat. I went for the 2.5in lift from rubicon express and 33x12.5 General at2s. Love the look and trail capabilities but they rub when I stuff the tires so I'm going for another 1" in shackles and hopefully I will be good to go.
