2.5L Automatic flywheel

Brought my 94 2.5 automatic into trans shop knowing it was gonna need rebuilt, and upon disassembly they noticed a few cracks in the flywheel/drive plate. Theyve looked and Ive looked for a replacement to no avail. The aftermarket doesnt support that part. Shop says they can weld cracks, or try to source from a junk yard, but thats also proving hard to come by. Thoughts on welding it?

Don't think welding would last too long. Can't believe you can't find one though. If a jeep makes it to the boneyard here, 9 times out of 10 it's a 4 banger auto. You could buy whole 4 cyl auto jeep here running for less than a grand.

When I did the trans swap on our YJ I ended up with an extra flex plate. It's used but it's clean and taking up space in my shop. PM me for info if you're interested.

PM sent. Im not overly enthused about welding as it seems to me it could potentially cause balance issues, and as said, long term reliability concerns.
