2003 Cherokee Donor for my 2.5L YJ

I picked up a misfiring 2003 Cherokee for 800$. A few code reads and about an hour of my time later, it seems to be an injector failure. The people got rid of it because of a long list of codes being thrown, but it seems the injector is the start of it. If I keep all the wiring from the Cherokee and its computer, it should essentially just be motor mounts and finding a transmission besides this 42RE and then a different transfer case besides the NP231 with the AX5/2.5L combo that it currently has, correct? I'm doing this in my garage over about 6-12 months. Not in a rush, just needs to replace that silly little 4 cylinder and allow me to extend my wrenching abilities.
