4 banger not getting good mpg?

i have noticed that my 4 banger is just flying throught the gas lately. its lifted 2 in suspension w/ 31's. any ideas why my fuel economy would be so low? im talking 9-10mpg? shouldnt it be around 15-20? i understand that i have a lift but i still think that it can be improved. ANY IDEAS?

You have to take into consideration that with the lift and larger tires, your speedo is going to be off a little. That in turn will mean that the mileage will be off as well. Use a GPS to figure out what the difference in actual speed and mileage are.

And your lift doesn't affect your MPG's, tires and wheels do. How long since your last tune up? O2 sensors good?

yea take stock tire size and divide it by new tire size and multiply your MPG by the new value to get actual MPG

Do you maybe divide the new size by the old? That gives me a little better mpgs....
