5100 bilstein shocks for soa yjs discontinued.

Tried placing an order with Morris 4x4 for bilstein 5100 soa shocks for my 89 yj which were available on their website and the following day received an email stating the rear part #BIL-BE56458T5 have been discontinued and would I like to substitute pn. BIL-24185660. The substitution is for a 3-4" lift. Does anyone else think this might be a problem? After receiving the email their web page for rear shock magically became unavailable.

Try an other retailer. Many times parts are discontinued by the retailer and not the manufacture. Check with bilstein directly.

Checked Bilsteins application sheet on their website and also lists part #BIL24185660 for spring over axle applications. Can't find how long this has been in effect it looks like unless I can find someplace with old stock its going to be rear shocks for 3-4" lift.

Get your soa done , measure mount to mount fully compressed and extended. I bet the will make a shock that fits.

What Tom said is the proper way to choose. Once you know the one you need, go as Jokerchief said and contact Kolak, he had the best price when I was looking and fast delivery.

Changing out the steering box right now. Maybe next week I'll run it in to the shop where I can use the fork truck to twist the suspension.
