7 or 8 inc rims

Ok i have read a lot of thread on tires and not to much on rims.So hears what i have !I have been redoing a 95 yj 4cl 5 speed.. I'm ready to order new tires and rims.It has the original rims that suck and i want to put cragar Nomads on it that look like the rims i had on my renegades back in the days. Now im running stock suspension no lift and want to go 31 x 10 1.5 tires, my off roading days for the most part are over so manley for looks not that i wont do some dumb shit with it.Now will 8 inch rim stick out to far into the stock fender flares as i like the look of deep rims or should 7s be fine.....Any input would be appreciated...

Pretty sure the stock wheels dont have the same offset as what most people swap too and reason why they stick out of fender flares. I have 8 with 3.75 of back spacingClick image for larger version

31x10.5x15s on 15x8 with 3.75 BS. The larger tire with stock back spacing may contact the suspension at full lock.

When I had 31" tsl's on stock wheels the side lugs would just barely rub the leafs at full lock... not enough to be a problem but a washer under each steering stop would eliminate it.
