Hi folks, I am sort of new here. A few months ago I bought a 92 YJ Islander from a local used car dealer. I knew it had some issues, but I had faith in the 6I engine. The former owner could not get it to run right, so he dismantled he electronics and fuel injection, Installed a Rochester 1B on the intake and a distributor with an d old stye with points and condenser. Good thing is he left the fuel rail and injectors and fuel lines in tack. The wiring harness checked out and all is back original. It runs great. Just ran my first full tank of fuel out and it got 16mpg. I just do a lot of short trip errands on it. The body is in great shape, fairly new bestop seats, top is fair, but it is off for the summer.
I painted the tub with some primer. First 2 additions will be line the tub and get a new console. I like the height so I will probably leave it stock. "Buddy" our Corgi loves to ride in it too! Sorry for the long post.
