95 stalling

i have 2.5 auto that started to hesitate while driving. wasnt no big deal. would seem like engine cut out and jerk then be normal. now its starting when sitting at a light or so it will stall and not want to start for a bit maybe it cools down not sure sometimes will start up in a min or so. when its doing this i seem to have not throttle, it will start up but then stall. i can play with the gas pedal but have no responce. orgininally i though it was an o2 sensor but now thinking its the tps sensor, sorta doing the same thing my wifes fusion did when it had a bad tps and had a recall on it. does this sound like the problem to you, maybe any other thoughts before i buy the tps

Yeah I had the same problem, it was my TPS. First check the wires leading into the connector to make sure they aren't worn out. If you run your jeep and move them around you'll notice a difference in RPMs if the wires are worn

ended up changing the tps in a parking lot cause it stalled couple times and daughter didnt want to take any more chances driving it. so gave her my truck and went about changing it. engine still has a slight miss but not like anything before and it didnt stall at all. will drive it tomorrow and see how it goes. thinking the slight miss is something else but its so minimal now its probably just cause its an old engine. but thats another project. hope this tps change was the problem.

well the tps was not the problem. stalled again, sat for couple mins then fired right up and ran. does this have coil packs that could be going bad

I would also try replacing the crank shaft positioning sensor. And before you do that did you check the fuel filter or the fuel pressure? The fuel filters are really cheap and it's a quick fix. Better to start cheap than buying all the expensive stuff first

i put in a new fuel pump back in dec.-ish. the fuel filter along the frame by the rear axle looked newer. it overall runs really good except when this happens
