Alittle help

Hey guys, I'm going to start the process of building my 1994 Jeep Wrangler YJ. It's pretty much stock other than the American racing rims that came from previous owner. I'm not looking for something huge. My plan, so far, is: 3inch suspension lift 1.5 or 2 inch body lift 1 inch wheel spacers Bigger tires of course, maybe 31s if it fits Brush guard New rear number, stock ones ugly. I want to redo the interior, it's not bad, just wish it was a darker tan color, I'm willing to get the interior and bumpers from salvage yards And this last one, I know it has more things that I would need to make it work, but I will be putting a 4BT Cummins with a nav2500 5speed tranny, but that's last due to running about 3000 dollars. I'm asking if anyone can help me by giving me places to look, websites that you guys trust because I haven't done much online shopping, if some of you can do custom fabrications or know someone I can discus ideas with, hell just basic knowledge on things to watch out for or tips/ideas. Thank you!

I would just keep searching the forum. You will find tons of mods and ideas. Everyone here is helpful. Check out the build forum too. I have used Morris 4x4. Really good. Also, 4 wheel parts, Amazon or ebay. Good luck and welcome.

Well, the lifts are ok, but you don't want the wheel spacers. You live in Pa, just like I do, and the tire is not allowed to be out past the flare. Yours are right on the border line now, much less adding a wheel spacer behind it and moving it out another inch. Why take the chance of being hassled by the cops? Besides, wheel spacers are just hard on bearings and seals anyway.

The pushbar thing is out as well, sure they look nice, but they mount on the frame, look on your jeep where the frame is, right under the headlights. The push bar blocks the corner of your head lights (its the same fine as having head light covers on at night). Besides, when you have the push bar on, the headlights have shadows in them from the push bar. I would rather see well, than look cool.

YJ's didn't come with a rear bumper, they had what is called bumperettes, which were 2 hoops on the back that look like they would be a place to haul gas cans. That was the "rear bumper". So anything would be better than that.

The interior doesn't give you a lot of choices either, you have what is called spice, the other choices are light grey and black. Unless you go aftermarket, but then you aren't going to find the padded part of the dash. And if you do it will be way expensive.

Some of the websites that I use often are... www.summitracing.com. www.quadratec.com. www.4wd.com... www.jeep4x4center.com.

As well as Ebay, Amazon, and a few others. There is a wealth of parts out there and places to look, as well as tons of videos on youtube.com to watch about almost everything you want to work on.

Or just post on here. Most of us have been doing it for ever, and like me have been wrenching on Jeeps for a long time (over 35yrs for me). So never be afraid to ask a question, we are always here to help.
