I drove from MD to TX a few years ago. I suggest doing a tune up before you go keep some spare fluids and belt. Basic tools u joints. Make sure your tires are good. Have a mechanic do a once over I also found that carpet and floor mats helped keep exhaust heat down and stopping every 4 or so hours to stretch and walk around helped a ton. I also tried to stay behind truckers to keep the wind buffering down and they tend to know where police sit so if a rig is going the speed limit you should be good.

Do Glacier International Peace Park, Going to the Sun Highway.....
and then do it the other way at midnight.
Nothing like vertigo in the dark.

And for the heck of it stop in Missoula at AEV.

With anything I recommend AAA paid in full
With a YJ...I recommend AAA !!!!
And roaming for your cell phone.

Nothing better than a free tow on vacation.

Everything suggested but add Painkillers to the list as you will need them from all the ache you will endure with our cushy riding vehicles

Yep. I like Downbeats, you can still hear / talk, but it takes out the drone/flapping/rattling.

Make sure you can power cell phones on the move.

Sunscreen.

Thanks everyone! In Ohio now! Been about 4 1/2 hours! Not been a bad trip at all! Oh I have fluid, and got it inspected and looked over before I left! Brand new tires and a few other things, soft tops in rough shape but that's alright I'm getting a new one once I get there!

Just drove mine from Chicago to Phoenix for the second time. My advice is to not forget a pillow to sit on! Lol. My seat is kinda shot and it gets uncomfortable after a few hours.
