Any clue where to sell my offroad rig?

I wanna sell my offroad rig somewhere however I have no clue where to put it. So far i've tossed it on craigslist but the chances of people looking for a v8 6L YJ are minimal. Any clue on where to list it?

What's the asking price? The market in my area for trail rigs is either rail buggies for a big dime or beat to sh!t XJs for a thousand bucks. I wheel with lots of XJs that were bought for dirt cheap. If you have a "trail only" YJ with no exo cage but with a V8 for a high price, it'll be hard.

eBay tends to be collectors, Craigslist tends to be the lower end of buyers and sellers (don't get me wrong, I love Craigslist but I wouldn't look for a high-end vehicle on there). You seem to be in between that...

Throw it on Craigslist, you may get a bite.

It's already on craigslist. got 1 bite so far and the guy didnt look serious at all.

I'm hoping to get 6k from it which is at cost of the parts. Mainly the v8/ecu tranny/tcase combo, the D44s in front and back with chromoly axles and 37" tires.

If i had the time i'd love to part it out and make few extra bucks but unfortunately I dont.

Did they change who can post in the for sale section? Last time i tried to sell something here on the WF i got crucified by the admins for trying to sell it.

Here's the craigslist listing.

Best of luck to you. Hopefully you aren't selling to earn back all you put into the parts...that usually just doesn't happen.

I put over 20k into my YJ but I'd be lucky to expect 10k on it...and I spent all that getting it pretty close to stock.

People in general want a rig that they can customize...they don't generally want some other rig that someone else put the parts into already.

There are people who will lay down the money for that, but they're buying things like this:

Jeep : Cj Cj5 1979 Jeep Cj5 Restored – Great Condition For Sale $8000.00

...not something backed into a row of trees with visible rust and a monster logo on the door...sorry, not trying to be mean, just letting you know that if you sell it for that much, it'll be one of a few special people who appreciate the parts and time you put into it and want those same parts on their rig.

Best of luck to you. Again, not trying to be mean or rude at all.

Actually this is the cost of the good parts without the rusty body. You're comparing a restored to stock jeep vs a monster jeep made for the trails.

Honestly i'm not expecting to get 6.5k out of it but I'm hoping no less than 5k.
