So I'm in the market for a complete lift kit like the Rough Country 4.5" X series but no one on the island carries RC. RC will ship here but it's over $300 putting the total to around $1000. Seems high but looking at other kits, it still seems like a better deal than others on the market, considering most of the kits still require other parts.

Would like some thoughts / suggestions from you guys with more experience with Jeeps as I'm very new to the scene. Thanks in advance!

Check out Zone lifts, they are owned by the same company as BDS which makes one of the best ( more expensive) lifts.

BTW I'm running RE Express which like BDS and OME give you the best ride, flex, and lift but at a higher price.

I can't believe no one in HI carries RC lifts. What the heck?

I just installed the $399 RC 4" lift this weekend. I'm quite satisfied. For the money, it can't be beat. Components are of good quality, fit & finish were perfect.

But at over $300 for shipping, I would look for something sold locally to you.

Everything sold locally is going to be over $1000 and I'll still need to buy stuff. Looks like I'm probably gonna stick with the RC lift.

Nice, didn't know about that. Looks like a good time. Maybe we can get a bunch of us to cruise up there together.

Hi Hawaii5O-- I live on Da Big Island. Have you tried a frieight forwarder? I use Aloha forwarding out of LA, and it is much cheaper to ship that way. I have a small custom motorcycle building business, so I understand shipping issues!

Aloha my friend

Is that where you have it sent somewhere stateside and they ship it for cheaper? I remember seeing something about it but wasn't sure if it's legit.
