Back in a YJ!

It took a while but I'm finally in the starting point of a Jeep that I wanted. YJ, 4.0, 5 spd. I've had a CJ, 2 4 cylinder YJs and a 4.0 automatic TJ. Never could come to terms with the 4 cylinders and the automatic just sent against my grain for a Jeep. Thought I could live with them but couldn't. I picked this one up for $4439.00 at a dealership of all places. It's a 1993 4.0 5 speed with factory A/C and still had the original radio in it even. It spent most of it's life as a toad...but it's mine and here to stay.

Just curious. After owning a TJ what made you come back to the YJ?

$4439.00 at a DEALER?? I'm flabbergasted!!

You're even luckier than Lucky Mac. It's unlikely that a dealership would sell an unsafe vehicle (rusty frame). You scored. Welcome back.

Well, Gottagofast....You're correct. Cheap YJs do exist. Not that $4439.00 is necessarily 'cheap' but in light of the apparent good condition, it's cheap for dos0711s new ride.

Good Luck, L.M.

I came from CJs and am more used to the leaf spring suspension. The TJ technically rode better but to me it felt like a marshmellow. I also prefer the dash in the YJ over the TJ. That and the automatic transmission had me back in a YJ.

FYI, the frame and tub are sound as a pound. Rust is very little to none.

Very nice YJ, congrats! I'll always love the spice/tan dash & interior on YJs. What kind of color is this? Kind of darker green?

The build sheet says it's hunter green metallic.

I’m going to say yes...the rest of the Jeep seems very stock. Plus the ignition key locks it

Nice find, particularly for the cash outlay. Really nice overall, and the interior looks amazing. I may have missed it in the string, but what kind of miles on the clock?

Nice find, particularly for the cash outlay. Really nice overall, but the interior is amazingly preserved. I may have missed it in the string, but what kind of miles on the clock?

OP's most recent post is 10/30/18.
I'm guessing he flipped it and made a couple Gs.

Good Luck, L.M.
