Battery Gauge Question

Does anyone know if it's possible to adjust your battery gauge? Verified I'm getting right voltage already, but gauge is ready couple volts low. Would rather adjust than buy new. I know it's not really that big of a deal, but kind of annoying...

No such thing as adjusting the voltmeter, these things are notoriously inaccurate.
If you need accuracy get quality aftermarket gages.

I second the above notion.

Mo said it correctly. Don't trust any of the stock YJ gauges readings. They are close at best.

I had a 93, bought it brand new at the Jeep dealer, said he filled the tank for me, I made it about 5 miles down the road and ran out of gas with the gauge reading full!. lol

Agreed. The stock gauges BLOW. One step above an idiot light.

If my gas gauge reads 1/4 tank, I better find a gas station quick because it's sucking fumes. The others are half ass accurate to say the least.

also could try re wiring it with a good wire direct to the battery, could be a bad/weak connection in the line,

Hello. Newb YJ-owner question here.

How are the other gauges, any known problems with the stock tach/speedo?

Not so much with the speedo or the tach, at least I've never had any problems with them in my two YJ's. But the fuel, temp, oil & battery leave a little to be desired. My fuel & oil pressure are the worst. Once I do the 4.3 swap I'll be using aftermarket gauges.
