Bikini Top

Do I remove the soft top or just fold it down?
What about the frame for the soft top, will the bikini top use that?

I received one when I bought the Jeep but have never taken it out of the bag.
I wonder if it will be any different than just taking all the windows off and leaving the top in place.

I bought a Bestop bikini shade for my YJ and then sold it.
It was the same material as keeping the soft top up only you had the ability to get wet.

I replaced it with the spiderweb shade which I love.
The feeling is much lighter, you can breath in the summer and not get burnt. (still can get wet though)

Nice thing is it can stay in place when the soft top is up because the two items are not competing for the same attachment point at the windshield unlike the bikini.

I have the Pavement Ends Strapless Sun Cap Plus bikini top. It attaches to the front soft top windshield channel.

I have a Bestop Bikini, and I like it. I folded the soft top down but left it on the Jeep.

Like Raoul's, it would be nice if I could leave the bikini on WITH the soft top up, but I can't because of the windshield channel. The Jeep lives in the garage though, so it's a fair-weather Jeep only at this time.

Before I got the bikini, I would ride "Safari Style" (no upper doors, no windows, rear window rolled up or removed. I went with the bikini because my soft top frame has seen better days, so it's pretty noisy. The bikini is almost as quiet as riding topless.

I have the Bestop strapless bikini top and I run it almost all spring and summer. Iíve had one problem though: when I hit 70 on the freeway it tends to work itself loose from the windshield channel, only when I also run with the wind jammer though. Itís good for a mild panic attack on the expressway.

I'm another spiderwebshade fan, have one in both my YJ and my TJ

I like them 'cause they are always installed on the Jeeps, whether the tops are up or down

I have been using a strapless Bestop bikini since the 90's i love it and it keeps you relatively dry in the rain unlike a spiderwebshade.
