Bikini versus soft top

I just bought a '95 wrangler Sahara with a hard top. i was going to purchase a soft top for the summer but i am now considering just getting a bikini top with a back well cover for summer. does anyone have any thoughts on that strategy and potential cost savings?

I have a bikini and love it. I can take it off and toss it under my back seat and if it rains it goes on it a couple min.

Thanks. Do you have the cover that goes over the backseat?

check out the softopper, best of both worlds. You get the soft top and a bikini top. You'll need round top door though if you want the softtop weather tight.

Anyone using the mesh bikini top? I have been thinking about getting one of them vs. A regular bikini top.

I heard that there is a bikini top that works with the stock soft top and allows you to lower and raise the stock soft top without having to remove the bikini.

I live in Hawaii so the bikini top is a must..unfortunately Hawaii also can have downpours on a clear day...so I'm looking to get a Safari top or even one these for those sudden downpours.

Have the bikini top for mine. What I do is roll it up from back to front till it gets to the windshield frame. Then use the straps under the roll bars to keep it in place. If it looks like its going to rain, yeah right, then I just un-roll it and strap it down. Works great this way.

Don't get a mesh top if you only have a hard top now. I have a hard top, soft top, and a mesh bikini top. The mesh bikini top is practically useless unless you're using it for shade. It won't protect from rain. I'm thinking about selling mine one day

I have the rampage bikini that has a zipper so I can remove back section
when the kids want to get wet or I don't want to listen to the flapping.
It also has pockets in front corners for storage, which is a good feature

I love my Rampage Mesh Combo Bikini Top, The pockets for storing small items, and the removable rear section.

It is available in solid or mesh.

I have a brand new soft top....it's been in the box for about 6 years now. I prefer the bikini top for 8 months of the year.....and I carry a tarp and bungees for when It sits in the rain. In the winter I put the hard top back on.
