Bilsteins worth the money?

I have a 95 with a 2.5'' Rough Country lift... and brand new shocks that came with the kit.
I am considering buying a set of Bilstein 5100's

My question.... on a 2.5'' lifted YJ... are the Bilstein's worth the money?... Do they make a big enough difference that you notice on the road and or of the road?

One other thing... the sales guy I spoke to said they don't offer a plus 2.5'' shock... but do offer a plus 3'' - 4'' Does that make a difference and will they work on my 2.5'' lift?

I'm all about upgrading my jeep, but I don't just want shiny bling... I want it to work too!

Thanks for any help...

iMHO yes, they are worth it. Just remember, they won't make poor riding springs into good riding springs. But if you're happy with your springs they will help keep your rubber on the ground over rough roads. Most 2.5 lifts are closer to 3", measure your compressed length and your droop then give those numbers to your shock representative.

I'm happy with the springs.. I just don't think the suspension moves enough to make a shock (any shock) move enough to notice a difference... We'll see though because they come this Friday..

Oh hell yes good shocks are worth it. If your suspension isn't moving you don't have a shock problem. Fix the suspension.

Mine moves plenty and when aired down (14) on some dirt roads at 45 feels like your on a cushion of air.

Billstein 5100s third season and they are great

Get Bilsteins and you'll be glad you did. Expensive yet works great.

We'll see... I only had time to put on the fronts today... So far I think they feel better! I have a full day of wrenching tomorrow... I'll throw the other two on at some point and let ya know....
