Boomerang shackles

I have ordered a set of boomerang shackles for my YJ. The other day i was reading somewhere on one of these forums and they said that when mounting on the front, the small end goes on top and on the back, the long end goes on top......I may have that backwards between the front and back. But what is the correct way and does the curve part point outward or inward on the front and back?

They go like this... Front is set up like this to prevent spring inversion so the bolt hits the frame and stop before it can fold backwards. The rear is set up so the shackle clears the frame when the shackle pushes backwards.
