Bought my first YJ. Wrangler Newb

I bought my first Wrangler yesterday for $400 bucks. Its an 1989 and has been sitting in a shed for the last 10 years. From what I have seen so far is that the tub is rust free except up around the windshield, where there are a couple of rust bubbles. Right now there is a freshly rebuilt 4.2L in the engine bay but the tranny and t-case are not installed. I have the NP231 T-case and automatic tranny. With everything pretty much pulled out except the engine I am leaning towards putting a V8 in it. I am just wanting opinions on what I will need to upgrade (front and back axles, brakes, etc.) for the jeep to handle a V8.

Here is some pics.

Wow, 400 bucks??!! I'll give you 800, LOL

Seriously, congrats on a great purchase. If it was me, I'd leave the 4.2 in it and concentrate on getting it all back together. Unless you just want a street rod, stick with what you already have. An automatic, too?

Hee Hee, you ass in a heap o trouble, Boy! ...Great big Georgia state cop
