Brake and maintenance required lights

I have a 1992 Wrangler Sahara and I can’t get these lights to turn off. Is there a trick that I haven’t discovered? I tried disconnecting the negative terminal for 5 minutes. I tried turning the ignition 3 times without starting. The e brake is not engaged. Thanks for any thought. Cheers.

Your maintenance required light is a timed emissions light. Only way to turn off is by removing the bulb or using a good scan tool to turn off. Also to confirm, you are talking about maintenance required and not check engine..right? Two different lights. Check engine is much more important.

The Brake light is just a parking brake indicator. I had to unplug my parking brake pedal sensor because the sensor never has seems to stay in the right spot. The sensor lives in the footwell. The opposite of the end of the pedal hits it to break electrical contact and turn off the light.
