Bumper build

I'm finally getting to start on my build and one of the first things I'm wanting to do is ditch the MASSIVE home made front bumper and build my own since I cant seem to find one I like much less one I can afford on my tight budget. I'm not a welder so I'm going to have a guy do all the welding but my question is should I buy a base bumper and cut and add on making it how i want or have the guy start from scratch? (The guy is a heck of a welder but not sure if he's ever built vehicle parts.) Thanks guys. PS: if the choice is buy a base, whats a good cost effective base? Lastly here's my rendering of what I want

have you looked at the Rock hard 4x4 front bumper? it is the one i have on my jeep and pretty dang close to your drawning there. they make it with a straight up hoop like i have on mine or an angled one if thats more your style.

i think that in pics it looks a bit short but on the jeep i think the hoop is about the perfect size, especially once you put some lights on there will fill it out well. but again thats all opinion haha

yup they are the ACME full fiberglass with the glass bottoms, i actually have them off the jeep now got full soft doors again but i ran them for about 3-4 yrs with a hard top. they were ok but really look their age haha. i plan on fixing them up if i ever have the time and cash just because i know they are fairly rare but i doubt ill ever run them on the jeep again.
