Buy used trans or rebuild?

I just traded and got a 92 yj with a 4.0 and the ax15 5 speed. On thanksgiving night the clutch went dead while driving on the freeway and had to get it towed home. I thought it was the slave cylinder. Finally got it all tore apart and the transmission input shaft bearing got ate up and took the slave cylinder with it. The first gear from the input side i see is pretty jacked up so i know for sure it will need some gears and etc... My question is would it be better to rebuild it so I know everything is all good or should I try and get a used one from a junkyard or off craigslist? Here are a few pics of the damage

damage is on top shaft first gear

slave cylinder

other side of bearing

and the gear which is totally jacked up

Thanks in advance for any help.

I would go with a rebuilt. You will never have to wonder if the used one will hold up or not. The rebuild should be a piece of mind. I'm not saying a rebuilt one will last longer than a used one because you never know. Just my $.02

I had an AX-5 rebuilt for $700 if you can get a rebuilt for that go for rebuilt.
The AX-5 is not a very stout tranny to begin with.

I ended up getting a used trans with 100k miles on it with flywheel, clutch, slave cylinder, master cylinder, for only $140 and a $100 gas to pick it up. Because just in parts was going to be $500 as I broke it down and had more damage than what I originally thought
