Well, this probably isn't cheap for anybody else, but... I've been making a rear bumper out of some 3x3 steel tube. Just got my end caps welded on and ground down last night, next it d-rings from horror freight, and a hitch receiver. Then mounting it. Should I make a build thread for this? It seems like too small of a project for anybody to care.

bigearl---I'd like to see the build. My dad has a blacksmith and fab shop. I have done some fab work in the past on furniture and iron fencing that he makes. Since I have bought my YJ a month ago i have realized there may be a big need for me to re-hone my skills to make some custom parts!!

I'll start a thread tonight when I get home, look in the YJ Build section for it.

Tomorrow I will be bed linering the fender flares or making sway bar quick disconnects, I will decide which one when I wake up.

$25 off eBay I got some blue led lights for my dash which included the turn signal dash light bulbs as well. Took about an hour to install and I think was a big upgrade for little money since it's something you'll notice ever time you use your lights

Rocker Knockers-$60 in steel, several hours of fitting, you can weld rocker rails onto it, or leave them straight like I did.

Cheap, waterproof storage. Jeeps can always use more storage, especially if it's waterproof. 2 Plano shotshell boxes will fit under the driver seat.

Thumbs up Cheap mod.

I saw where you can remove the air constrictors in the air box . There are two. Get a pair of needle nose pliers and one is located where the air goes in and one where the throttle body hose connects to the box. Get a grip of the lip of them. Wiggle and pull. They can be a pain so a few choice curse words help. I could tell a surprisingly big difference.

Got rid of Stock Sealed Beamed Headlights, purchased a set of Composite Beams w/Sylvania 6000k Bulbs. Easy to install, cost ran a little under $100. 10x brighter then stock 😉

Figured I'd try to make use of unused space in the rear . Made a storage rack out of old refrigerator racks and some brackets and stuff laying around.

It folds down to make loading and tying down the cargo easier. Holds stuff up to about 7" high.

And it also makes a great trail gun rack. Only had to buy 2 muffler clamps and the rubber Quick Fist gun clamps.

Ditto on the Plano trunk. I bolted mine to the floor using the existing back seat mounting holes. I also laid down a sheet of rubber diamond plating as a cargo mat. I think it was $40 for a big roll on amazon.

I got tired of the snap rattle above the doors. Sure, it is just too much trouble to snap them. I cut a piece of 1/2 foa. Pipe insulation the length of the top of the door and slide it over the top rail.
No more snap rattle.
