Cheap mount for High Lift jack

Only items for the mount were a clamp for chain link fencing , a L bracket, some nuts and bolts. I removed the base plate and attached to the side of the jack to allow it to set at the angle I wanted. I placed the chain link clamp on the roll bar brace that goes towards the windshield and connected the L bracket to the bolt that holds the roll bar. Cost 0.00, since I had every thing in my junk box. Jack is now inside out of the way and out of the weather...

I don't think I'd want to have part of the jack above my head.

Dosn't actually go over my head, plus the mount is quite strong and secured very tightly...

Interesting but I feel safer with something like a high low on the outside of my yj. Nice use of the space though!

I thought about that, but would interfere with my best friend that rides there. He is a yellow lab and has to go everywhere with me....

Thanks for the picture.. My dog has to jump in from the back and the jack would be in his way. I guess I need to get a smaller dog..

Clever idea and good use of the space...probably couldn't get that "Mount" approved by the NHTSA! But it's probably safer than all those exploding air bags though!!!

as far as the dogs go i just move the pass seat forward and lift the dogs in, so its never been an issue but they dont ride with me all that often they are my parents dogs, we have 2 boxers.
