chev 350/th350/ what then??????????*****

I'm planning on buying a 89 yj with a carbed chev. 350/ th350 trans. and no transfer case. I do most of my wheelin in the tight woods but will take her down the freeway at times too. I want a t case that bolts right up without an adapter to the th350... NEED IDEAS!!!!!!

thanks,

You need to find out what year the Tranny is and if it is even a 4x4 tranny. Then you should be able to go to the junk yard and find the t-case that belongs behind that set up. Or you could drop a couple of grand on an Atlas case. You will have to fabricate some mounts for the case too.

If you don't want to use an adaptor, you will have to stick with a GM t-case. To answer all you questions, I highly recommend theses folks; http://www.novak-adapt.com
They have an incredibale website. You can even figure out what your end crawl ratio is, will be. They are really very knowledgable, and courteous people.

Unless you are very mechanically inclined, I would have someone do this conversion for you. The more I looked into it, the more I realized that I would never figure it all out. I am having one assembled as we speak. I strongly recommend that you upgrade your axles, as well. I am putting D60's on both ends of mine. It also depends on what you are planning to do with it.
