cj windshield frame on a yj(amazon)

so i order a yj windshield frame off amazon cause it was the cheapest with free shipping to alaska! and i opened it up today and its a dam cj frame!!! called them up and they gave $25 credit if i kept and i agreed i would since i needed one like yesterday(every time it rains something else shorts!)

so obviously i need to drill holes for the roll bar, and im from the look of it the wiper motor mounts up the same?

any one done this before?

I know the YJ and CJ7 are nearly identical. The best thing to do is just try it. If the mounts line up, and it fits the gasket / doors / roof (if you have a roof), then drill away!

I did the opposite. I mounted a YJ frame on a CJ (cause it was free and I needed a new one) The only differences I noticed were the way the hinges mounted and the holes cut in it for the defroster vents. You will have to drill some holes for the roll bar to mount to the top corners of the frame. The Cjs did not have the full cage roll bar so there are no holes at the top corners of the windshield frame for the YJ roll cage. The holes in the windshild frame of the CJ will be slightly offset from the holes in the YJ frame. I ended up cutting the bracket and shifting it in the direction deeded then welding it back together. Looks kind of crappy but works. My CJ doesn't have a dashpad on it so maybe your dash will cover the upper part of the hinge so you won't notice it. Hope this helps.
