I think there may be some confusion as to the meaning of the word DEAL.

@Gottagofast is correct. A check on a couple of websites indicate that $12,500 in 1988 is worth about $26,700 today. So anything under that would be a deal.

Almost.... there's also the theory that you lose 25% when you drive off the lot.... then depreciation is IMHO 50% mileage and 50% time......
That puts my value estimate at a solid $12,000 IF it was stored indoors and is well preserved.
Lol

New Mexico Jeep values are higher then most areas..... El Paso is real close, so nothing would surprise me in price.

@Gottagofast ,
I hope my sarcasm was evident. 12K still seems like alot, even assuming it's in showroom condition.
@peterv
You probably could build two for 34K

If you are willing to spend $34.5K, this one is similar at $16.5K.

Is that one of those rare OEM Mopar rachet straps for securing your hardtop? I've heard of them but never saw one before.

Nah, it's a Chinese reproduction. You can tell by the serial number.

1995 YJ, clean title, 4.0, 5 speed, A/C (not working), 29,500 original miles, no top included. Seller is asking $4500. No reported mechanical issues, 2nd owner who has stored it under car cover or in the garage for years. Looks to need a few cosmetic touch ups, but seems like a good buy! Going to check it out this weekend.
