Diff upgrade advice

So I'm in the process of changing the diff fluid and my rear diff has some chips gone out of it. The pinion and the gear that's on the driver side axle are the ones with chips. So I'm going to go ahead and get one in so I can change it out at my will and not the jeeps. It's a 95 with the Dana 35 and currently has the 4.11 ratio gears. This is my daily driver and not an off road rig. Currently has 31/10.5/15s on it but will more than likely end up with 235/75/15 to up the 16mpg gas mileage and it's running the 2.5.

I've never dealt will this type of thing so your advice and guidance is much appreciated

What should go back in it?

If you go with 3.73's you'd be about 200 rpm lower at 65mph and 1:1 trans ratio. Assuming you went with the smaller tires. (They'd be roughly 29's)

Would it be worth ordering the whole diff or just buying individual components? What brand would you suggest?

Changing individual gears is specialist territory.

I would look for a stock D35 to replace it and stay with the same ratio unless you also want to change the front.

Keep the same gears.. even with smaller tires.. as noted it may be cheaper to buy a used complete axle than just having the gears redone.. Check out car-parts.com for junky yards in your area.. Its a bolt in process and of course bleed the brakes.
