Emergency top

I just have a general question, I just bought the rear seat and I currently have the top that looks like a pickup truck.... I want to get a soft top were I can get people in the back to ride along, low on budget so I figured I could buy the Emergency top and use that one... My questions are if, would I get any cop attention? Is it againts the law to use it on a daily driving vehicle? and is it any good?

I have half steel doors, with soft corner windows 1990 YJ

Pretty sure the emergency tops dont have windows. Illegal? I doubt it, but I wouldn't want to drive around with it all the time.

The emergency top is used just for that purpose...its made out of very thin material, and isnt designed to be on while moving at highway speeds.

if you are having trouble with everyone getting wet in the rain then you will need something that has all the windows then. just having a long top will not stop the back draft you get when driving and won;t keep the inside of your windshield from being soaked.

if you don;t mind driving to corpus, there is a dude down the road from me with a hardtop sitting in his carport from his old yj that he sold. i saw it monday while cruising the neighborhood. its black. last time i talked to him, he wanted 200 but that was over a year ago and since i already had a black hard top, i didn;t buy it

Link please? Was it a full soft top? Or a bikinini style? Thanks!
