emission maintenance timer

OK, so this thing is not of importance anymore on my 30 yr. old YJ with 200K plus miles? Just a reminder to change sensor? Kinda funny looking gizmo under the dash.

I've heard of them but I've never seen one before. If you remove it, save it somewhere. It might be the only one left in the world. It might be worth a lot of money some day.
I think they were supposed to be removed by the dealer at 75K miles or something like that. Batjack has a digital Owners Manual that he'll send to you if you ask. There might be information in the owners manual about the timer.

Good Luck, L.M.

My '89 FSM calls for it to be disconnected at 82,500 mi. It is a one use module to let you know to change your O2 sensor and pcv valve, then you replace with a new one and discard the old.
LMAO....This must have been where the term "IDIOT Light" came from, Named after the creative genius that came up with another way to generate income from dealer only parts.

I got one on my Sahara, Pulled it and tossed it to make room for my accessory fuse panel.

Does either one come framed? I have a small blank space on my shop wall where I display antique auto parts and a "barber shop" calendar.

Good Luck, L.M.

It just dawned on me. How many youngsters know what a "barber shop" calendar is? Or even what a Barber Shop is?

Good Luck, L.M.

Heck I'm no youngster but ya got me... i haven't been to a barber shop in almost 30 years since I got a set of clippers....

If a barber shop calender is the same as a garage calender then I'm with ya but otherwise i dunno

Now that's out of the way.

What pray tell is that dangling vacuum line connector for at the lower left of the timer in the pic?
