Fender advice

Hey everyone pretty new to the form but glad I finally was able to get a jeep.. I've always wanted one and now at the age of 23 finally on track and was able to buy a jeep for a second vechicle/toy.. So here's what I got when I bought the jeep a few months back the stock flares were still on it but all busted up so I found a used set of 6 inch pocket flares to get me buy. I put them on and then built rocker guards but I've come to not the the 6 inch flares. Does anyone know or had exsperience with this? I'd like to know if I get a new set of stock tj flares is it gonna cover the bolt holes from the pocket flares? Any advice if much appreciated

Here's a photo to show you what I'm working with( don't mind the trans wires hanging down had to rebuild it)

I think that your pocket flares look great.

As far as the TJ flares go, you will have to trim 1" of sheet metal from around the wheel wells to get the TJ flares to fit. But I don't think they are going to cover where the bolts are from your pocket flares. The edge of the TJ flare is probably going to be even with the holes. I went through the TJ flares mod on mine before switching to the flat fender style.

I thing those pocket flares look badass! But it's your jeep, so do with it what you will.

I picked up a set on Craigslist tonight they are off a Rocky Mountain edition and the color is rlly darn close to the color of my jeep.. I pulled the pocket flares off and the new ones will cover up all the holes and are gonna look sweet.. As for the pocket flares my uncle wants them so bad he can taste it so I can't sell but I do actually have and extra one cause I had to get 2 new ones I just can't remember which side it is but I'll look tm after work for you

So if anyone ever decides to go from pockets to tj flares they do cover all the holes from the pocket flares

Good information here. Thanks for posting the results. I too liked the pocket flares but those painted flares are also pretty sweet.
