Lost me. So you say just rears on and fronts off?

Thanks and its your opinion and I am askin for it so all is welcome!

I just think to much im sure. Just so happy w/ this thing just feel like something is missing I have been thinking normal width tires or perhaps something more under it. Or putting them back on and triming them up like one thread did. Not sure what to do, wouldn't hurt to not have the water whip up into the window and cab like it does so simple now

front on and the rear off like the pic. I feel your pain my tires stick out past the fenders aswell making it impossible to keep clean.

Yea thats not bad thanks for the picture I couldn't find anything. Not a bad idea though, I don't care if its clean or not just sucks wen your arms dirty just for driving down road haha. Maybe I'll throw those on for now see how it goes. Perhaps do the trim on the side lip that points down.

Thanks! May put them on and drive for the day see how I like it. I found the older thread of someone trimming them up so they have more clearance. Might do that anyway and then debate the rears.

Anyone else?

I like them on my self but dont have giant tires that stick out to far. If my tires stuck out pass the fender flares when there on I think I would take them off. I also took these steps off my YJ didnt care for them think it looks more agressive

Before I did my tube fenders I sure liked the stockers without the flares.

Some states and localities have laws about how far your tires can extend out from the flares if you are driving it on the road. Just something to check, and decide if the fine is worth it for you.

i have stock flairs and rubicon rims with 225/75/16 wheels and mine go past the fenders so if you any kind of oversize wheel, you are going past the fender so yes, check your local laws

I took my flares and runners off and i think it looks more "off-road" like. It does get dirty very easily but jeeps shouldnt be clean anyway. The only thing i don't like is the front... I plan to get tube fenders or just cut the stock to make some custom/free flat fenders...

OP

What did you use to paint your YJ all black? It looks textured.

Thanks.

I love the normal fenders. Dont care for flats or tubes at all

I'm a fan of them off! If you're tops down or uppers are off your rear tires will sling in a lot of water and mud but that's the fun part right?

You can always get them back in, it is a matter of how and whether you feel a need to use the original hardware.

So got them all on and trimmed. much better. Makes the chassis not look so small and lost. Tires still stick out over 1/4 of the way. Happier and MAN what a PITA it is to put them back on. Reminded me of taking them off... so until I forget they are not giong anywhere soon
