Finally got one!

Hey there all!
well I FINALLY got a real jeep! After several years of having suvs and trucks, I finally got what I wanted.
Not a newbie to the jeep brand, I've had 3 cherokees in the past but not the same thing. So when my pathfinder finally bit the biscuit, the wife said "just go buy whatever you want as long as you don't bug me!" lol
so here she be: 1995 YJ wrangler 2.5L 5spd. All the carpets been removed, floor rhinolined and a little lift on it.

It only had the hard top when I bought it and that just wont work, so i hit the online classifieds and found a complete soft top with hardware that a guy got with his new yj in 1995 and hated it after a week! It has been in his storage locker ever since ( the soft top not the jeep) so he parted with it for just $100!!!! Yup jackpot!
just finished putting it on this morning in time for the rain!

well heres a couple pics of my new obsession.....so what should i do to her next????????
any suggestions?

they aren't actually rock rails.. all it is is some diamond plate on the bottom on the body.. more like stone guards. Looking for some decent frame mounted rock rails.

I was out helping my brother put together a swingset for his kid, My wife and kids were home, they went to bed at like 10:30, and it was in the drive way then, I get home at 1am.. no Jeep......man o man....I bought this thing so me and my 14 year old son could have a cool project, and the plan was the jeep would be his in two years when he turned 16.....Soo Sooo sick to stomach right now.. worst is, I live in the country, so I imagine its being bashed through the back roads and the power lines as we speak....My poor baby....

Ouch, Id be pissed. Some asshat busted out my wing window on my 90 and made off with my 6x9s and a blown amp.
now I park in the garage, or keep my hard top on, getting an alarm after summer is over.

I hope they find the person(s) that took your jeep and hang them from a tall tree with a short rope! Good luck finding it in one piece...

Congradulations, you are one lucky SOB. Most stolen Wrangler are found stripped the bones. You should probly buy a lotto ticket. You and your son have fun now. In your build, make it so unique, big and noticeable that nobody will want steal it. Make it stand out in a crowd. As far as rocker protection, look at Poison Spider or Warn. They make them tucked up tight and won't affect clearances. I have the Warn Rock Sliders on mine and I'm sure if they weren't there, I'd have some body damage.
