Fng intro...rearwheel play, wobble..question about lift

Thx for the invite to this forum ...I'm home lol...anyway I got a few questions I been wrenching my whole life but other points of few help I've learned ...here the run down...94 yj..60 000 original miles...4.0lho...2-2.5 in spring lift not sure...I wanna get it a little higher and I was wondering if a 2" Shackle t case drp..would work..tht be bout four...and what about soa...my axles are shimmed for my pinion angle already..tht and and replacement sye..we're the first things I did...I bought it for 5500 drive train was legit..everything was cool..but then u joints started failing etc...so I replaced lik17 u joints , bushings, clutch, water pump, tcasee rebuilt...etc...so I dropped 10 000 after all the parts then I got shipped out for a couple yrs and it sat....didn't miss a beat...I'm rhino lining the whole jeep..chassis, inside out..all of it...new top is ordered with roll bar covers ...and carpet...so there it is hit me back with any insight on lifts...and why my rear axles have .5 in1" of in and out play at the wheel...go I need down the road the wobble looks bad but I don't feel it...

So when you do a shake down of the rear you will get left and right play? Up and down play? Or literally you can pull the wheel/axle shaft in and out of the axle.
