If you can do all the work yourself like welding the perches, setting the gears if you're changing those, that is cheaper. If you're going to need it done ECGS, is the way to go. They will do as little or as much as you need done. When I priced out the things I couldn't do like the welding, setting the gears, and putting in the ARB, the wholesale price they give you for the parts takes a good chunk from the labor cost.
As far as I know, ECGS is the only one that does turnkey 8.8s. I have a friend that bought one, and he was happy with it.
Most of us do it ourselves, as Reno92 mentioned.
